Historic Interest
The pub dates back to 1790 as an extension o a farmhouse. Listed in Pigot's Directory of 1822-23 and 1828-29 and in Bagshaw's Directory of 1850. An Argyle Brewery pub transferred to Birkenhead Brewery. Mentioned in Sulley’s 1889 ‘The Hundred of Wirral’ as one of the 11 fully licensed pubs in Neston. Closed 12 December 1918. Now a private residence.
