This Pub is Permanently Closed

Flint faced cottages were converted into the current pub. Moorings to rear dealt with river traffic on its way to Bury. Today the pub is well established for food. Photographs of this pub and more historical information about it can be found at suffolk.camra.org.uk/pub/423

Historic Interest

In June/July 1981 edition of Last Orders*** it was reported that the Plough was now a Free House. In Apr/May 1982 edition of Last Orders*** it was reported that landlords Tommy & Vicky Hammond had retired. New hosts were Steve & John Taylor (father & son) together with their wives Kathleen & Miriam. Selling GK IPA on handpump.
