The locals refer to this as "the only pub in Newell Green!" and report that this late 18th Century Greene King pub has been transformed since the new managers took over in late 2025.
There are three hand pumps. Two are for ales distributed by Greene King and the third is free of tie. The house beer, Harrows, is a beer from the Greene King range, not always the same. If you ask, the bar staff can advise which GK beer it is currently.
Food is traditional English Pub food. It is a cosy, friendly, community local pub that welcomes families, children and dogs. The surrounding area has attractive walking trails and is a popular hotspot for dog walkers. Inside, patrons can take advantage of a real log fire during winter months and the large beer garden in summer.
Horse parking bays by the car park entrance to the pub.
The pub is normally closed on Mondays. It does open on Bank Holiday Mondays.
