17th century coaching inn, although the comfortable interior is entirely modern, albeit with the odd low beam. The large brick-paved beer terrace to the side includes an enclosed children's play area. The entrance leads into the bar area, but there’s also a several interesting spaces in the multiroomed interior. The elegantly furnished inside function room extends to an outside area with additional tables and seating. Food is offered daily from noon.
