Public house dated 1841 on north facing gable wall, added to existing row of cottages in East Street. Long range to north includes stables and hayloft. Two storeys. Red brick with low pitched, hipped slate roofs. Three tall red brick stacks. West elevation has at first floor, two loft doors, three hung sash windows with'glazing bars in cambered arches and one horizontal sliding sash with glazing bars. Three ground floor windows include one large three-light hung sash window to right of six- panelled door in moulded wooden frame, and two double boarded doors to north. Included for group value with cottages in East Street.
