A former furniture store with the bar is divided into five distinct areas on the ground floor. The bar was extensively remodelled when the upper floors were converted for use as a Wetherspoon's hotel. A mezzanine gives access to the upper (non-smoking) outside area with a garden below. An architecturally significant building on the far side of the pedestrianised area from the High Street it attracts a wide age range and is a good place from which to see the world go by.
