Historic Interest

The pub was listed in John Stotts 1977 Guide to Good Beer in Bolton as selling Greenall Whitley Bitter and both light and dark Mild (E) , with TV, darts and dominoes. In July 1979 in an article with photo it was noted that the pub would be changing from real ales to tank beer after internal alterations. Never knowingly sold cask beer from then until it closed 30 years later. Delicensed on 04/03/09, landlord was Jon Stowell and owner Admiral Taverns.
