In a former charity shop, Syston's first micropub originally opened on 20 December 2018. It has a 1950s pharmacy theme, including many medical artefacts, equipment and adverts; and a friendly skeleton (Cedric) sitting on a dentist chair! Apart from a varying selection of real ales, it has up to seven 'craft kegs'. Two or more local guest real ales are normally available. No meals, but cheese cobs and other snacks are available. Leicester CAMRA Pub of the Month October 2019 and joint Leicester suburban Pub of the Year 2024
