Built in 1987 by Charles Wells this is a very large estate pub situated on an earlier bypass for the town centre. Wells disposed of the pub some years later and it was acquired by Enterprise Inns, which subsequently became part of the Stonegate group. Cask ales are supplied by Coors. Outside there is a substantial car park and a garden and play area for children. Interestingly, Dennis, the current licensee had a hand in the construction of the pub, long before he took over the running of it thirty years later in 2017!
