Small former tearoom just beyond the Old Gate near the towns clock tower. An excellent range of keg beers but no cask ales.

Opened late July 2026 this welcoming street level micropub is divided in to two areas by an open fireplace. The first area is accessed off the street and has the servery immediately on the left. This has taps dispensing 15 changing draft ales and an assortment of canned ales, some from local breweries as well as cider. There are high stools and tables to the rest of the area.

There is further seating at tables in the back area. From here the rear uncovered and fully enclosed outdoor courtyard can be accessed which has tables, chairs and stools.

No meals but a selection of pies are available.
