Popular four room village pub with exposed timbers said to have come from the ship of the same name. Built in 1735, with a chequered history as a hotel, brothel, council meeting room and dance hall before becoming the pub that it is today. Children and dogs are welcomed if well behaved. Food served Wednesdays to Sundays. The back room has darts and ring the bull whilst the top room with its stone-flagged floor is used mainly for consuming the good-value, home-cooked food. There is a quiz every Thursday evening.
