Comfortable inn situated in the centre of Winchester opposite the City Museum. It overlooks the cathedral green and extends between Little and Great Minster Streets with entrances in both.
The pub has wood-beamed ceilings, with the bar serving mainly local ales. A curtain divides the restaurant from the pub area. There is a modern extension with skylights at the rear which acts as a family room, and a tiny non-smoking patio area.
Award winning accommodation is available and a wide variety of high quality food is served, with the emphasis on local produce. There is a pie of the day board and for lunch there is also a choice of sandwiches and breakfast, with roasts on Sunday.
Payment is by card only (but not Amex).
