Planning application for student accommodation July 2023: 23/02680/F initially declined locally but decision overturned by Government Inspector on appeal. Existing building and additional new build in car park combined to provide accommodation for 33 students.

Pub on narrow road junction opposite Blackberry Hill Hospital. Has been through several guises in recent years including a spell as the home of the Arbor Ales brewery and tap. Has re-emerged after a period closed, the bar is simply furnished and has 2 dart boards and a pool table, plus sports on TV. DJs and Karaoke at weekends. The rear garden has a bouncy castle and play area. Children OK until 9pm.
