Originally built to house one of Dorset’s earliest electricity plants, it powered Lord Portman’s mansion (now Bryanston School) until mains supply arrived. It later became a club for estate workers and the wider community. Today it’s fully accessible, with a lounge, bar, event space, two beer gardens, games area, skittle alleys and a snooker room.
