This Pub is Permanently Closed

Nestled in a small street around the corner from the Opera House Theatre, this traditional Victorian looking pub has only recently joined the real ale revolution. Popular with office workers from the nearby Spinnigfields development and theatregoers looking for pre-show dinner and drinks, their busiest time is early evening. All major sports are shown on big screens and local sporting heroes memorabilia adorn the walls along with Coronation Street memorabilia from previous part-owner Liz Dawn (aka Vera Duckworth).

Food is served 12 pm until 2.30 pm and again from 5 pm until 7 pm. It is closed on Sundays except if football matches are being shown or other events are taking place in the city centre, when food will be available all day. A DJ performs on Friday and Saturday evenings.
