Historic Interest

A West Cheshire Brewery pub dating back to at least 1850 when it was listed in Bagshaw’s Directory. Became a Peter Walker pub. Described in 1990 as a two roomed street corner local serving Tetley Mild and Bitter by handpump. The old photo from 1880 shows the pub with the Birkenhead Brewery in the foreground. After closure it became a cafe.
