This Pub is Closed Long Term
Closed at the start of lockdown, with bar and seating ripped out in August 2022.
This genuine free house, which is conveniently situated at the railway station, also serves as the station buffet. Two changing beers are served, often, but not always, from West Country microbreweries. Local Keg ciders are sold. The landlord is happy to receive suggestions from his regulars as to which beers to stock. Two-pint carry-out containers are a handy feature for train travelers. Three TVs show sporting events, often silently. Karaoke frequently features at weekends. May close early when quiet. As the station now has ticket barriers the pub and cafe are now split off by a gate. During the day you can enter the cafe and order a beer but to sit in the pub area you have to go out and round.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 0 regular beers.
