The Northern is a thriving sport and social club set in its own grounds to the north of Crosby. The clubhouse features two bars, and a snooker room and is a hidden real ale oasis which is worth discovering. The playing facilities include three cricket pitches, a floodlit hockey pitch, squash courts and two bowling greens.

CAMRA members are invited to the Northern Club on Thursday evenings, and may purchase drinks at discounted club prices on production of their CAMRA membership card.

For cricket fans, the invitation is also extended to match-days through the coming season. Spectators may use their CAMRA card at the bar during matches. The club serves up to 2 guest cask ales, depending on seasonal demand.
