A friendly two-roomed pub in the centre of the village, known locally simply as the Inn. It serves one beer from owner Maxim Brewery from nearby Houghton-le-Spring, plus one guest. The pub hosts a Tuesday night quiz, monthly live music and football on TV, and also offers accommodation. Families are welcome and there is a pleasant beer garden.
