The New Inn is a comfortable traditional two-bar local. There are old photographs and postcards of bygone Forest of Dean history in one bar, including an account of the fatal Severn Bridge Railway disaster of October 1960. Look out for the other curios including the wild boar.
The main bar is dominated by a large projected TV, where traditional pub games can also be played.
To the side of the pub is an attractive garden, mostly laid to lawn with ample bench seating. A distinctive and well maintained shrubbery is a focal point, with hidden elves and gnomes seeking your attention.
No real ale is on offer but keg beer is from the Marston's range and includes Pedigree and Shipyard IPA.
Meals are available at the New Inn, including Sunday roasts. You are advised to ring the pub for booking.
The New Inn is closed on Mondays.
