This two bar pub, formerly the Red Deer, is situated on a service road alongside and below the A35. One bar has a pool table (free play on Tuesdays), dartboard and televised sport; the other has comfortable chairs and is sometimes used for meetings and private functions. This community pub holds regular events, and is home to darts, pool and two football teams. Although no food is served, menus for local takeaways are available at the bar. Children are welcome until 9pm. By bus, you'll need the 8 in one direction (Southampton - Hythe) and the 9 in the other.
