Dining pub
Situated opposite the entrance to Hayes station, the pub reopened in April 2018 having been closed for several weeks for refurbishment.
The New Inn is a very handsome and imposing stone building. The interior is spacious with around 10,000 square feet of room. It was a traditional pub when built and is now independently owned, and incorporates a large restaurant. The bar area is very smart with separate dining areas. The upstairs events venue is equally plush, with chandeliers and is available for hire. There is regular entertainment in the evenings.
The three guest beers tend to be mainstream choices.

Historic Interest
The current building stands on the site of an old rural beer-house, which opened in 1898 and served as an inn attracting customers from Hayes railway station. The name "New Inn" may be attributed to this replacing two nearby beer-houses which dated from the mid 19th century (Sun Inn and Alma Arms, which both closed in 1891 and 1899 respectively). Owned by the Hambro estate, this was bought in 1931 by Davenports brewery of Birmingham. The beer-house was demolished in 1934 and replaced by a large half-timbered baronial style road house built with Cotswold stone. This also served as a hotel, complete with a large function room. The rebuilt venue complemented both the new shopping parade and new railway station, which was rebuilt by Southern Railway and opened in the following year. After being virtually destroyed following a direct hit during the Blitz in 1940, this venue was completely rebuilt as a replica but with a different frontage and re-opened in 1962 under the ownership of Courage. This was subsequently remodelled in 1980, before becoming a Harvester dining pub in 1984. Further alterations were made in 2010.
This Pub serves 3 changing beers and 1 regular beer.
