30/4/21 Planning permission granted to turn into a shop, with attached maisonette. Shop will open as Burts Boards- a skateboard supplier.

This two-roomed terraced pub is a typical friendly back-street boozer. Opened in 1815, its frontage is on New Road, which was built in 1792. . One guest beer selected from the Punch Taverns ale list is available with plans afoot to add a second. A bar billiards table is the most recent acquisition with other pub games often played including Crib, dominoes and darts by a clientele of all ages. The winter fire enhances the warm welcome offered all year round.Friendly community pub that values conversation. Closed and for sale as at Aug 2018.
