Very popular traditional community local. It comprises two rooms, a comfortably furnished lounge to the left of the entrance and a games room to the right, divided by a central bar. The six hand-pumps serve a constantly varying choice of four real ales usually covering a range of styles and usually at least one from a local brewery. A beer garden is located off the lounge. There is a regular and local clientele. A community board is provided in the lounge. A Wednesday night quiz is held from 9.30pm.
