Until 1960 the Mill on the Exe was a paper mill; the original water wheel used to turn the machinery is now a feature in the pub's garden. The old mill was converted into a pub, which was bought by St Austell Brewery in 1994. It is set in a beautiful location, with tranquil waterside gardens next to Blackaller Weir and the Millstone footbridge, and is just a short distance away from the city centre and rail stations. It has a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere, with two bars spread across two floors. boasting a total of nine handpumps, with St Austell brews, seasonal and guest ales, plus a selection of bottled beers, including 'Clouded yellow' on offer. Quality home-cooked food, freshly prepared and cooked to order, is served from noon to 9pm daily. Children are welcome. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome throughout the pub.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 2 regular beers.
