This Pub is Permanently Closed

In about 2010, the pub closed, and the oldest part on the right (which had an attractive public bar) was converted to flats. After several years of closure, the former music room - lounge on the left was reopened. By 2022, the remaining pub part had been converted to a Turkish Education Centre.

Historic Interest

Historically owned by Bass Ratcliff & Gretton Ltd of Burton-upon-Trent. A former Victorian pub-hotel with a substantial 1920s extension which included an impressive circular leaded skylight above the servery area.
