Built in the 18th Century, this Category C listed building is a former coaching inn situated in the village of Marykirk, which lies between Montrose and Laurencekirk. Popular for hunting and fishing with the river North Esk, one of the top salmon rivers in Scotland, close to the village.

The Hotel holds a childrens certificate. Affictiandoes of old brewery mirrors can find samples from Lochside Brewery in Montrose and Boroughlodge Brewery in Edinburgh. Bus services between Montrose and Laurencekirk stop in the village.

Bus services are severly disrupted due to Storm Babet damage to the North Esk Bridge.Varying Keg Burnside beers are available
