Although located on the Stevenage Old Town High Street, this pub feels like a very friendly local which welcomes everyone. There is a covered patio/smoking area at the rear and a large seated area at the front. The pub runs three darts teams and a football team.

Pub reopened as a Greene King 'Nest' pub following a refurbishment in July 2024. A Greene King brewed house beer, Lorne Pale Ale, is available.
