This Pub is Closed Long Term
NOW CLOSED - Sadly the tenants did not renew the premises lease due to circumstances, and the Lymestone Vaults closed on 30 Janaury 2022. The brewery and Bore Hole in Stone are unaffected, and continue to trade.
Modern wine bar-type pub, the first to be owned by Lymestone Brewery of Stone.
Accessed via an alley way in between the estate agents and Chatwins, the pub is basically one L-shaped room with a mixture of chairs and sofas, plus a piano in the corner for that old-fashioned feel.
The beers will usually be five of their own Lymestone beers plus up to three guest beers. At least five real ciders are stocked, advertised on a tall pole. Lymestone beers and others are also avialble in bottles, with a good gin selection.
A good lunchtime menu is served, including the local delicacy Staffordshire Oatcakes which are sold with a range of fillings and are highly recommended.
Note that the pub opens at 12noon on Bank Holidays. Also note that doors will be locked half an hour before closing time.
