Historic Interest

In May 1981 this was a Greenall Whitley Keg pub. It had a refurbishment during 1982 and was renamed Olivers around 1985, but in October 1988 it was to be renamed back to the Lower Nags Head however it was reported in Summer 1989 that it never did get renamed before it closed in early 1989. In Spring 1994 it was included on a Lost Locals list and it was now a branch of Abbey National then Santander.
