A recent change in offering has seen this establishment take over from what was once a very popular pub. It had a spell as an Indian restaurant before closing. It re-opened and reverted to its original name, the King's Arms, in July 2015. Maybe its days as a traditional pub are numbered as it sets about establishing itself as a tapas and wine bar, a European restaurant. Sadly it seems real ale is no longer on the menu. The décor is light with much use made of light stone floors and exposed stonework with light green as the predominant colour for the paintwork and upholstery. There is another snug with easy chairs for extra comfort. The latter is adjacent to a smart dining area with a separate cosy restaurant on a lower level.
