This Pub is Permanently Closed
Picturesque traditional family-run free house, built circa 1745, situated in this historic village on the road from Darlington to Barnard Castle. The interior comprises a dining room, bar and cosy snug. Hearty British food is served alongside a varied selection of guest ales, often from local micros. The pub has something for everyone - ramblers, fishermen and locals who enjoys a good pint - and dogs are welcome. Wednesday is curry night. The bus stops just outside.
