The Lock & Quay is a Canalside pub, reopened in January 2018 by SAFE Regeneration, and it is part of a larger community hub project. There are up to three real ales available, usually from the local Stamps Brewery. A small bar serves an "L" shaped room which features local visual artists, and photographs of the local area. Seating and tables by the real fire are the product of "upcycling" from the community project itself. There is a small library to browse, and board games for the competitive. Canoe club, quiz nights, songwriters night and family film days.
