In July 2017 the freehold was put up for sale by GK. Sale followed in December to Logini Pubs Ltd.

Permission was granted on appeal by the Planning Inspectorate (APP/Q5300/W/22/3300255) on 30th August 2023 to demolish the building.

The consent allegedly includes a new pub in a five storey building.
