This Pub is Permanently Closed

This was an imposing building. Originally a Matthew Brown house, later taken over by Banks's. The pub closed in 2008 and was converted into a Chinese Restaurant.

The main image shows the pub in Banks's livery and carrying the name The Lime Kiln.

The earlier picture shows the familiar Matthew Brown colours with the name as Lime Kiln Inn.

The pub was finally demolished in August 2022 to make way for new development.
