A two hundred-year-old local community pub close to the town centre with a warm welcome to all visitors. Was called the Bee for a while; now renamed as BBQs & Brews, but still best known as the Letter B. A beer festival is held in January (Straw Bear weekend).
Under new ownership as of Oct 2022, but retaining the same expert beer keeper looking after five regularly-changing ales.
Branch and County Cider Pub of the Year in 2015 and 2016. Presented with Branch awards in 2007, 2011 and 2024. Branch PotY in 2012 and Town PotY 2025.
