This Pub is Closed Long Term
Not re-opened after lockdown, future unknown.
Previous history as follows;
Reported in Oct 2015 as having opened as a pop-up restaurant. Confirmed in August 2016 as LAMBO BAR & RESTAURANT; a pizza and Shisha lounge. The pub is not selling real ale, but you can have a drink.
The building is a purpose built public house of the Victorian era and is a typical example of that period. The building has a local listing. The principle reason for the local listing and the dominant feature of the building is its ornate tiled ground floor facades facing Cricklewood Lane and Douglas Mews. The interior of the ground floor has retained its Victorian form and some limited features. Décor is of a generally Victorian character but most of it is not original. Two planning applications have been made. The first involves a 3 Storey side extension and a 4 storey rear extension. The ground floor pub would be converted to retail and the remainder would be flats. The second application involved demolishing the pub with the replacement building ending with the same results as the first. Both applications have been rejected and both appealed.
