The Lakeside complex have various facilities including two hotels surrounding Wharfenden Lake which opens onto the Basingstoke Canal.

Lakeside Country Club is an entertainment complex featuring various live shows and darts. In its day it was a perpetual Club of the year award winner and had one of the largest unobstructed stage areas in the country .The club is only open when there is a booked evening show. The complex is supplied by Greene King but serves no real ale.
