This is a historic old inn lying at the foot of the Campsie Hills dates back to 1601. After a sudden closure in 2012, it was bought by the owners of the nearby Strathblane Country House Hotel. They have restored the Kirkhouse Inn and operate it as a country hotel and restaurant, including the 1601 bar. It opens early for breakfast and serves main meals every day, although the hours of service can vary by the season - phone ahead to check.
