This Pub is Closed Long Term

Named after King Frederick Wilhelm III who once visited the inn after which the pub changed its sign. This pub brewed its' own beer until at least 1910.

The pub closed February 2016 (according to planning documents) and planning DC/2016/01290 passed 09/02/2017 permitted the use of the function room at the rear as part of an agricultural plant hire business. The main part of the pub remained empty and falling into disrepair. An application DM/2023/00974 was made on 11/07/2023 for demolition but this was refused 04/08/2023.
