Situated in a beautiful village on the banks of the River Luce, this picturesque hotel has well-kept gardens by the river. The pub no longer sells draught real ale, but bottle conditioned beer may be available occasionally. Home-cooked, freshly-prepared food is served in the evenings. This is a popular stopping-off point for walkers on the Southern Upland Way and the hotel offers a luggage transfer service.
