Popular, yet laid back and unpretentious real ale and cider bar first opened in December 2014. The only Icy Eye in the country.

The town's first micro pub, overlooking the village green, was opened by two enthusiasts who noticed a gap in the local market for such an establishment.

Several changes of ownership later, the pub has recently undergone a complete refurb, with a new layout.

Four beers of varying styles are on offer. Beers from Wensleydale, Theakstons, Holy Island and Brass Castle have recently featured.

In addition, ciders and perries are available, ranging from real ciders to the more modern fruity ones, some of which are well known, some not so well known, and some quite strong!

Third of a pint beer/cider bats are available.

A fine selection of gins and whiskies are also served, together with quality mixers. Usual top quality micropub type nibbles are also available.
