This Pub is Permanently Closed
The House of Darwin is a welcoming pub which supports community life with something for everyone. The pub interior is basically one large L-shaped room with raised areas to the front and many arched walls which successfully splits the main room. The pub has a lot of wooden decoration giving it a rustic feel. The main room is complimented by an upstairs area at the front of the pub. Although family friendly the layout also allows quiet areas. The pub has a good sized grassy garden, ideal for those with children and an outside smoking area separate from the garden. There is a large outdoor seating area to the side and rear of the pub on decking.
The pub changed ownership in July 2017.
Pub closed permanently around December 2022 and transformed itself into a supermarket opening in early 2025.
