This former farmhouse frequented by locals and visitors alike is a fine example of an isolated real country pub, of which there are so few left. It has been kept up to date over the years, but has lost none of its atmosphere, and one can imagine stepping back many years in time. Whilst it serves bar meals all week, it is very much a pub rather than a food-house with a bar, and it is still possible to have a 'pie and a pint' but you may need to book a table at peak times.
Wheelchair access is possible with ramp available.
There is an excellent children's play area and a large car park across the road.
Overall, the Horse Shoe amply rewards the effort to find it.
Guest beer is from Robinsons.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 1 regular beer.
