Historic Interest
Previously The Red Heart and former Shipstones pub. Recorded as a public house in 1832 as the "Red Hart" under licensed victualler Wm. Widdinson (White's Directory). It is then known as the "Red Heart" in 1855 under Mrs. R. Widdinson and in 1876 one John Vincent (Post Office Directories).
The Red Heart lies in Rushcliffe Borough Council's Ruddington Conservation Area.
The Red Heart was nominated for an Asset of Community Value registration by Ruddington Parish Council with the support of the Nottingham Branch of CAMRA. The Red Heart was registered as an Asset of Community Value on the 30th June 2017.
As at November 2017, the freehold (NT352870) for the Red Heart was owned by Punch Partnerships (PML) Limited [Reg. No. 3321199] and this was transferred to Patron Capital on the 5th March 2018.
