This Pub is Permanently Closed
Largely a restaurant, with limited opening hours. That said, drinkers are welcome in the small front bar and will not be disappointed with the beers, which are invariably kept in good nick.
The restaurant area extends over the rest of the pub, is cosy and inviting, and the menu is extensive and offers excellent value for money.
Sadly The Harrow called time for good in late 2018. It was privately owned and trading hours had been reduced dramatically in its last years. Now a private house. Let us hope the owners have second thoughts...
Update 12/23. Alas no second thoughts...
The Harrow is known to have been trading by 1891, but may date from earlier. During the early 20th century it formed part of the tied estate of Hadlow brewers Kenward & Court (see photo), and later became a Charrington's house after a succession of takeovers. More recently it was privately owned and operated free of tie.
