Charming family-run rural pub, originally a 17th-century coaching inn. Saved from closure by a local campaign some years ago. Occasional live music, and the host is a musician himself, indicated by various instruments and song sheets. Appetising home cooking, with occasional pop-up kitchens to vary the offering, tempts diners from far and wide; includes traditional Sunday lunch. A quiz night takes place on the last Wednesday of the month.
