Popular 17th-century roadside inn with a strong regular trade. St Austell Tribute and Proper Job are the regular ales served from a stillage behind the bar and Thatchers cider. The outside courtyard, in which dogs are allowed (guide dogs only inside the pub) is pleasant on warm days. The extensive menu which includes light bites before 6pm Monday to Friday and daily specials is displayed on a blackboard. Popular with families in the evenings and particularly at weekends, however they do not reserve tables. After all it is a 'pub'! Can be rather crowded at times. 'No swearing' notice on front door! There are letting rooms in the main building and former skittle alley and log store.
This Pub serves no changing beers and 2 regular beers.
