Town centre Wetherspoons outlet opened April 2014. Great pub, on the small side for a Wetherspoons.

Single room, all on one level, and all facing the bar. For seclusion, there are some booths along the corridor to the toilets.

Decently furnished in typical 'Spoons style, with plenty of wood panelling and even a log burner in the lounge.

An outside area on the precinct at the front is popular in summer.

The usual range of Wetherspoon contracted beers are served. Saints' days are celebrated, while two beer festivals are held annually, well three if you include the Christmas one.

Historic Interest

Part of the 1960s new town concrete development. Whole area about to undergo 'improvements'.
