This Pub is Permanently Closed
The first of a new Greene King chain of "ale cafes" opened in May 1997 in former tandoori restaurant (hence the name). Spacious bar with pictures from the Raj adorning the walls, polished floor and hanging shaded chandeliers over the bar. Emphasis on food with optional table service for drinks and meals.
Became the Green by 2002 and became more a Sports Bar.
Closed in 2010 becoming a Cote Restaurant roughly the same time Greene King bought Finnegan's Wake which became the Grove.
